Assisted suicide?

In May 2006, a bill to legalise medically assisted suicide in the UK was defeated in the House of Lords by 148 votes to 100. In recent years, more than 40 British people are thought to have travelled to Switzerland for assisted suicides. Here’s a link to an article on one of the high-profile cases, a doctor called Anne Turner.

What do you think? Would you like to see assisted suicide made legal here in Portugal?

Hi everyone,

Why do people want to put an end to their lifes?
In my opinion this is the main question that we have to answer when we want to understand the reason for such important decision.
In some cases I agree that we should have the right to decide what to do with our life. In my opinion this decision is acceptable when, after a conscient and profound reflexion about the meaning of life, we decide that our life is more painful than our death.
Our life is like a video game. We spend all the time trying to find the next level (knowledge, happyness, love, work, etc). One day we receive the message "Game Over". However it will be impossibe to press the button and restart it again.
